Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has blasted the United States over its naval blockade, declaring the move “doomed to fail” as tensions in the Gulf edge closer to boiling point.
In a fiery statement, the Iranian leader accused Washington of breaking international law and pushing the region toward chaos.
He warned the blockade would only inflame the crisis, not solve it.
The standoff has zeroed in on the Strait of Hormuz the world’s most critical oil route now under tight Iranian watch as fears of disruption ripple across global markets.
Top Iranian figures are already talking tough. Mohsen Rezaei warned Tehran will not sit back if the blockade continues, hinting at retaliation that could drag both sides into fresh conflict.
“If the US pushes further, it should expect consequences,” he said bluntly.
Iran’s oil chief Mohsen Paknejad brushed off fears of supply collapse, insisting the country’s energy sector remains strong but the warning signs are flashing.
Behind the scenes, Iran’s navy is preparing new weapons for deployment, raising the stakes in a confrontation that is already shaking global oil prices.
With both sides digging in, the message from Tehran is clear: back off or face what comes next
