How to benefit from the Nigerian Government’s Student Loan

President Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, signed into law the Student Loans (Access to Higher Education) (Repeal and Re-enactment) Bill, 2024.
The student loan is an initiative of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to provide easy access to funding for indigent Nigerian students.
It aims to relieve vulnerable Nigerian students of the burden of paying their school fees, thus providing equal rights to education for all.
Only indigenous Nigerian students across higher institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education) and vocational institutions are eligible to apply for the loan.
Here are the requirements and things to know before applying:
*Be a Nigerian citizen
*Possess a JAMB Registration Number
*Have a National Identity Number (NIN)
*Provide a Bank Verification Number (BVN)
*Possess a Matriculation Number or School Registration Number
