Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee has spoken publicly about the sexual offence case that recently drew attention in the United Kingdom, insisting that he did not commit the acts he was accused of.
Poco Lee made the statement during a video call with social media activist VeryDarkMan, where he addressed his reported release and the circumstances surrounding his return to freedom.
“I didn’t do what I was accused of. I got out with the help of Burna Boy, Rahman Jago, and my UK friends,” Poco Lee said during the conversation.
His comments come amid reports and social media speculation surrounding the status of the UK case. The entertainer had previously been reported to be facing five sexual offence charges, including attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
The allegations have not been proven in court, and Poco Lee has maintained his innocence.
The involvement of Burna Boy, Rahman Jago and Poco Lee’s other UK-based friends in securing his release was also mentioned by the entertainer during the video call. However, details about the nature of their assistance were not immediately clear from the statement.
