The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has on Monday October 21, 2024, announced the assassination of its Biafra Land National Coordinator, Mr Mazi Ikechukwu Ugwuoha.

The IPOB in the United Kingdom in a post signed by Comrade Emma Powerful on its X handle page on Monday, wrote “the Directorate of State (DOS) and the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) announce with a heavy heart the unfortunate assassination of the IPOB Biafra Land National Coordinator, Mazi Ikechukwu Ugwuoha.”

According to reports by the IPOB, “Ugwuoha was assassinated by the soulless Nigerian recruited agents around his residence on October 18, 2024 at Aba, Abia State.”

The IPOB noted that the assassination of the unarmed innocent man was due to his coordination of peaceful movement in Biafra Land.

“Those who assassinated Ugwuoha want to send panic and fear to the IPOB members and sympathizers, unfortunately we have gone beyond the fear of death,” IPOB stated.”

“Those responsible for this dastardly act have murdered sleep in their eyes because we won’t leave them.”

The Biafran movement stated that the Intelligence Unit (M.Branch) is already mandated to uncover the identities of the culprits and appropriate revenge will be mated on the soulless enemies and criminals.

The movement admonished its members, saying “as we mourn for the loss of our trusted, reliable and formidable Biafra Land Coordinator, we encourage all Biafrans, M.Branch ESN operatives, IPOB volunteers, Coordinators to take appropriate security measures against the onslaught of the enemies and criminals.”

“We must stand strong and resolute to defeat the enemies and criminals as we have been doing in the past.”

“This phase will pass and we shall emerge stronger.”

The group emphasized that the Nigerian Government and her sponsored agents of agitators want to set a stage so that the group will change the direction of its peaceful struggle.

However, the IPOB noted that the Nigerian Government, having realized that the Biafra restoration project is on the unstoppable mode, it wants to start killing Igbo people.

“The Nigerian Government and her murderous Security Forces together with their recruited criminals are at loose to destroy or change the IPOB direction.”

“We shall do everything humanly possible to defend ourselves including going after those paid to kill the IPOB and to destroy our family members.”

The Biafran movement assured the Biafrans that the assassination of Ugwuoha will be avenged properly.

“Those who traumatized the family of Mazi Ugwuoha by slaughtering him before his family member will be fished out and given similar treatment.”

“The IPOB’s non-violence approach doesn’t negate the act of self defense. We do not forget and we do not forgive. It is a tit for tat”

“ He who kills by swords shall die by swords.”

“Rest in peace Comrade Mazi Ikechukwu Ugwuoha for your selfless service to your fatherland. Your death shall be avenged. We shall meet you and depart no more.”
