It is PSG and Inter Milan for the 2025 UCL final
as Arsenal goes down again with a trophyless season after losing 3-1 on aggregate to PSG

Arsenal have again, gone another season trophyless, after losing their 2nd leg, UEFA Champions league game against PSG, 2-1, at Parc de Princes on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.
Arsenal knew they had an uphill task against a young and formidable team in PSG, after they had lost 0-1 at the Emirates.
But fans thought the team could put up a good fight at the Parc de Princes venue of the 2nd leg tie between both teams.
PSG had in the first leg held on to the lone goal scored by Ousmane Dembele in the early minutes of the game.
Though PSG dominated the game, they also kept their backline solid.
The only significant statistics that favoured Arsenal on that night was the shots on goal, as the visitors ha more of ball possession, passing accuracy and passes completed.
It was all to play for, for Arsenal, in the 2nd leg in France.
Dembele had sustained a knock in the first leg of the tie, and he was placed on the bench for the 2nd leg.
Thomas Partey’s return in the 2nd leg, must have been a thing of joy for both coaching crew and fans of Arsenal. His return meant that Declan Rice would return to his familiar position.
PSG were on the back foot at the start of the game, as Arsenal came out fighting.
But the hosts had their plans well cut out, and their goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma was in superb form, making some outstanding saves.
Arsenal could easily have been two goals up in the first 20 minutes.

PSG held on to that lead, going into half time.
PSG was a totally different side in the 2nd half as they came out strong, and soon got a penalty, which unfortunately they missed.
In the 72nd minute, Achraf Hakimi made it 2-0 on the night, and 3-0 on aggregate.
He was assisted by the man from the bench, Ousmane Dembele.
But Bukayo Saka was able to pull one goal back for the visitors, four minutes later.
PSG held on to win the 2nd leg tie, 2-1, and move to the final, with a 3-1 aggregate scoreline.
Coach of Arsenal side, Mikel Arteta, after the game, said he was proud of his team.
He stated that they were the better team on the night, and the better team in this season’s campaign of the UEFA Champions League.
He lamented the team not taking her chances when they came, and they paid dearly for it.
“I don’t think there has been a better team in the competition than us, but we deserve much more in both games.
“This competition is about the boxes and that is about the strikers, most of the time, and the goalkeepers – and he was their best player.
“I’m so proud of the boys, and they deserve a lot of credit for what they are doing in the context and the situation, and with the amount of injuries.
“We arrived here in the worst state.
“You have to get here with everyone fit and with rest.
“We came here in a completely different context, and that gives me a lot of positivity for the future,” Arteta added.
So, the stage is set for the finals of the UEFA Champions league 2024/25 final featuring PSG vs Inter.
This means that the Champions League final will for the first time since 2004, be contested without a team from the Premier League, LaLiga, or the Bundesliga for the first time since 2004.
