The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released detailed statistics for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), shedding light on the performance of candidates across Nigeria.

According to the figures released, out of the total 1,955,069 candidates who sat for the 2025 UTME, more than 1.5 million scored below 200.

The Board also disclosed that 4,756 candidates scored above 320, while 7,658 others earned scores ranging between 300 and 319.

In addition, JAMB reported that 40,247 underage candidates were granted special permission to sit for the exam to showcase their exceptional talent.

Of these, only 467 candidates (1.16%) met the benchmark for exceptional performance, though they must still complete three additional assessment stages.
