The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 12, Audu Madaki, has escaped death when gunmen, believed to be bandits ambushed and attacked his convoy on Tuesday.
The incident reportedly took place between Barde and Jagindi area in Kaduna State en route to Abuja from Bauchi.
The attack left him injured while one of his orderlies was killed.
AIG Madaki is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
