Kano Crackdown: 17 arrested as NDLEA strikes hard

In a bold move, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) raided multiple drug hotspots in Kano, arresting 17 suspects.
The operation targeted notorious dens linked to substance abuse and violent crimes, delivering a major blow to criminal networks.
According to Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics Sadiq Muhammad, the raids were part of a sustained crackdown on drug-fueled crime.
He confirmed that notorious locations in Dorayi, Gwammanja, Zango, and Ja’en were cleared.
This action effectively disrupted ongoing illegal activities.
Authorities recovered large quantities of illicit substances during the operation.
Muhammad stressed that these hubs enabled thuggery and violence, making their dismantling crucial for public safety.
“These spots bred criminals,” he declared, linking drug abuse to rising crime rates.
The NDLEA praised State Commander CN AI Ahmad for his leadership in the operation.
Meanwhile, Muhammad urged residents to support the agency by reporting suspicious activities promptly.
“Community cooperation is key to ending this menace,” he emphasized.
Furthermore, the agency vowed to sustain its offensive against drug trafficking.
Muhammad reiterated that the NDLEA’s goal extends beyond arrests—it aims to build safer, drug-free neighborhoods.
He confidently declared, “We won’t stop until Kano is fully secure.”
Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of persistent efforts in achieving safety.
Residents welcomed the raids, expressing relief over the crackdown.
The NDLEA assured the public of continued vigilance, urging collective action to eliminate drug-related crimes.
With public support, the agency remains determined to restore peace.
Finally, Muhammad called for stronger partnerships between security agencies and communities.
“Together, we can break the cycle of violence,” he said.
The NDLEA’s latest success signals a tougher stance against drug lords, promising more decisive actions ahead.
As Kano fiercely fights back, the agency’s message clearly states that drug hotspots will no longer be tolerated.
Consequently, the public must stay vigilant because increased awareness actively helps prevent drug-related incidents effectively.
Additionally, the NDLEA is actively intensifying its operations, which significantly enhances the fight against narcotics trafficking nationwide.
With relentless efforts, a safer Kano is within reach.
