Labour Party Lauds Trump’s Planned Action On Nigeria

Says it is wicked, godless and extremely unpatriotic of Tinubu to deny that there are no targeted Christian massacres in Nigeria

The Labour Party (LP) has applauded the planned intervention announced by President Donald Trump in Nigeria, saying the move is highly timely and commendable.

Labour Party National Publicity Secretary (Interim), Prince Tony Akeni, made the remarks in a statement on President Trump’s intention to intervene against killing of Christians in Nigeria, dated November 2, 2025.

In the statement sighted by Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), Prince Akeni went down memory lane in 2014.

Akeni noted that it was members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that started the narrative of “the slaughtering of Christian worshippers”, saying it is “strongly condemnable”.

To drive home the point that insecurity in Nigeria was intolerable and get the support of the US government to help stop the genocide in Nigeria, the opposition members travelled to the United States to meet with the then US Secretary of State, Mr. John Kerry.

Akeni, therefore, expressed disgust that the same Tinubu, who is now the president, will deny that there are no targeted Christian massacres in Nigeria.

“It is… terribly wicked, godless and extremely unpatriotic of Bola Tinubu, now as President,” Akeni fumed.

The statement uncensored

Read the full statement by Labour Party below:

“Eleven years ago, before Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu railroaded the Nigerian system to declare him President over us, Tinubu wrote these exact words on his official Twitter handle, now X, of January 19, 2014:

“The slaughtering of Christian worshippers is strongly condemnable. It calls to question the competence of Jonathan to protect Nigerians.”

At the time Tinubu made that statement in January of 2014, authoritative data provides that 11,000 Christians in Nigeria were killed by Islamists during a four-year period of the PDP’s rule from 2009 to 2014.

This genocide figure was by Boko Haram alone.

Then another dimension of Christian massacres began from 2010 when Jihad extremists masquerading as Fulani herdsmen murdered another 6,500 Christians in another four-year period between 2010 and 2015.

This was just before the Buhari and Tinubu APC merger successfully took over the federal government of Nigeria.

In comparison, with Nigeria under his watch as President and under just two years of Tinubu’s administration between 2023 and 2025, the number of Christians massacred by Islamic extremists skyrocketed to 14,122, an almost 100% casualty increase in time ratio compared to the PDP years.

Getting rid of Goodluck Jonathan

Nigerians will recall that in order to rid the PDP and Jonathan government by portraying that administration as incompetent before Nigerians and the globe, especially in the security front, and to justify take over federal power, the same Tinubu and late former President Muhammadu Buhari led a high-powered delegation of their APC merger stalwarts to the United States to meet then US Secretary of State, Mr. John Kerry.

This was on January 25, 2015.

The mission was to drive home the point that insecurity in Nigeria was intolerable, and they needed the support of the US government to help stop the genocide in Nigeria by getting rid of the Goodluck Jonathan administration.

It is therefore terribly wicked, godless and extremely unpatriotic of Bola Tinubu, now as President, to deny that there are no targeted Christian massacres in Nigeria.

It is the height of shameless selfishness, betrayal of the Nigeria constitution and treason for either him, any regime agent or agency speaking for the administration to deny that there are no Christian massacres in Nigeria.

This is especially considering that the figure of victims that made Tinubu and Buhari to lead a protest delegation to the United States in 2015 has now doubled under Tinubu’s administration.

This is why, in the view of the Labour Party, we consider the offer of President Donald Trump to help Nigerians out of our security calamity under the current Tinubu-APC administration is godsent, timely and highly commendable.

Heartfelt appreciation to Donald Trump

The Labour Party therefore wishes to express heartfelt commendations on behalf of Nigerians to President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Sen. Ted Cruz, the United States Secretary of War Peter Hegseth, ex-Mayor Mike Arnold and other Americans for the immense work of research, evaluation and conviction they have demonstrated in their intervention initiative.

In their planned interventions, the Labour Party also wishes to entreat the US government to extend protection and sustainable security cover to liberal and moderate Muslim communities whose members are also targeted and in some occasions killed because of their sympathy or support for their Christian neighbours who are under the yoke of Islamic extremists’ massacre, livelihood deprivations through violent farmland dispossession and displacements across many parts of Northern Nigeria and the Middle Belt states of our country.

The Labour Party hereby also commends several Nigeria Muslim voices who have demonstrated remarkable patriotism in supporting the Donald Trump initiative to help protect their Nigerian Christian brethren, terror sacked communities and their livelihood for collective peace and progress.

They have shown by their novel spirit of mutual humanity that one united Nigeria, irrespective of religion and political differences, is truly possible, if we have good leaders in place.

It is this kind of pan-Nigeria spirit and undiscriminating interfaith harmony Nigeria urgently needs today to overcome and put behind us the terrorist catastrophés that has been covertly promoted by Nigeria’s successive governments since 2009 and which has come to a devastating climax in President Bola Tinubu’s Muslim-Muslim regime.

Kudos to Nicki Minaj, others

Finally, we wish to heartily salute US music icon, Miss Nicki Minaj, for using her global youths and Gen-Z platform to draw attention to the genocide, unimaginable IDP homeland displacement crises and despair of millions of Northern Nigeria citizens who, though mostly Christians, have admixture of collateral Muslim victims among them.

The Labour Party wishes to implore other famous artistes, sportsmen, movie stars, writers and philanthropic industrialists all over the globe to emulate Miss Minaj’s sterling humanitarian heart, practical compassion and example.

This is in the hope that their collective voice, oncoming global solidarity mobilization and sequel humanitarian concerts for millions of Nigeria’s IDPs will spur President Tinubu, his administration’s National Security Adviser, Mr. Nuhu Ribadu, and the government’s Minister of Defence, Mr. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, and Minister of State for Defence, Mr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle, to abolish their despicable, complicit long standing policy of pacifying these soulless mass murderers with billions of Nigerians’ taxpayers money.

The above disgraceful policy, to borrow President Trump’s word, involves officials and military brass of the Tinubu federal government regularly sitting with fully armed terrorists, ransom kidnapping bandits and rapists, including attending the marriage of children of these mass murderers in their forest lairs.

A terrorist engagement policy unheard-of anywhere in the world.”

Newly Inaugurated Tinubu Campaign Office Demolished In Benue

(DDM) – Fresh tension erupted in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, after part of President Bola Tinubu’s campaign office was demolished by officials of the Benue State Urban Development Board.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that the demolition, which occurred late Wednesday night, has sparked outrage among supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), who described the act as politically motivated and a deliberate attempt to humiliate the president’s loyalists in the state.

Eyewitnesses said the demolition team arrived in the early hours of Thursday, using heavy machinery to pull down the front section of the building that had just been renovated and inaugurated two weeks ago as the official Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Office in Benue State.

A source close to the office management told DDM that no prior notice was served before the demolition.

He alleged that the action was carried out on orders from top state officials who claimed the structure violated new zoning and setback regulations recently introduced by the Benue State Urban Development Board.

Reacting to the incident, the APC Publicity Secretary in Benue, Daniel Ihomun, condemned the demolition, calling it a “provocative attack on democracy” and accusing the state government of intolerance.

He demanded an immediate apology and compensation for the destruction of party property.

However, officials of the Urban Development Board defended their action, insisting that the structure encroached on a public drainage channel and failed to obtain proper building approval.

The board’s spokesperson said all illegal structures would face similar treatment, regardless of political affiliation.

Political analysts who spoke to DDM warned that the incident could heighten tensions between the ruling APC at the federal level and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led government in Benue.

They noted that the state has remained a political flashpoint since the last general elections, which saw bitter rivalry between both parties.

The Benue APC youth wing has vowed to organize a peaceful protest in Makurdi, demanding the resignation of the Urban Development Board chairman and calling on President Tinubu to intervene directly in what they describe as “systematic political persecution.”

Meanwhile, security operatives have been deployed to prevent further escalation, as fears grow that the demolition could spark reprisal vandalism or political clashes ahead of the 2025 election cycle.

DDM will continue to monitor the situation as reactions pour in from across the state’s political spectrum.

(DDM) – Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has expressed deep condolences to Alhaji (Dr.) Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu, former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), over the passing of his mother, Hajiya Halima Mu’azu.

In a heartfelt message shared on his verified handle and obtained by Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), Obi described the late matriarch as a woman of “exemplary moral standards, compassion, and grace,” whose life of service and humility will continue to inspire generations.

He wrote, “My Dear elder brother, Alhaji (Dr.) Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu, Walin Darazo, with profound sorrow, I extend my deepest condolences to you and your family on the passing of your beloved mother, Hajiya Halima, a woman of exemplary moral standards, compassion, and grace whose legacy will forever inspire.”

Obi prayed for divine comfort for the Mu’azu family, asking Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest in Al-Jannat al-Firdaus and to strengthen her children and loved ones through the painful loss.

The condolence message has since attracted wide reactions on social media, with many Nigerians commending Obi for his empathy and humility in reaching out to leaders across political and religious divides.

According to DDM correspondents, Hajiya Halima Mu’azu was widely respected in Darazo, Bauchi State, for her charitable works and dedication to community development.

She was known for supporting widows, orphans, and indigent students through quiet acts of generosity that earned her admiration within and beyond her local community.

Political observers note that Obi’s condolence message reflects his consistent emphasis on unity and compassion across faiths and ethnic lines.

Crime without consequence

Reacting to the expose, a concerned Nigerian, Otunba Mark Adesanya, decried the unhealth business practice of the defaulters stifling the financial industry.

Adesanya said: “There are still many of them roaming freely in an opulence lifestyle.

“If the CBN published all the names of defaulters, there are about 20 of them owing over N5 trillion Naira.

“The past government set up a committee through AMCON (Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria) to get the money from them.

“But just like an elite game, Nigerians did not hear much of what happened.

“These men are super elites and above the law; most of the debts are now classified as bad debts.

“But they are sitting on riches and even contesting elections, and some are in the National Assembly, making laws for us.

“These people are responsible for where we are at the moment.

“Some tonnes and tonnes of money deposited in the banks have disappeared without trace.

“Some debts have been declared doubtful because the effort to retrieve them have not been successful.

“Whereas, those who took the loans from these banks may not have supported it with collateral, getting their collateral to go for it is not possible because there’s nothing on ground to auction.

“This is the seriousness of the huge financial crime they have inflicted on Nigeria.”

Adesanya, therefore, called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be serious about revitalising the banking industry.

He demanded that those who had contributed to the parlour state of the economy must be brought to book.
