League board hands ex-Super Eagles mentoring role in cadet championship

Nigerian Premier Football League has appointed former Super Eagles players Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Seyi Olofinjana, along with Austin Eguavoen and Patrick Pascal as mentors for young players.
They are currently in Benin to mentor and support young players from clubs participating in the inaugural NPFL Youth League Championship Finals.
They have been appointed as NPFL Youth League Ambassadors and will provide guidance and encouragement to the youth players as they compete in the tournament.
The profile of the league has seen improvement in recent times emerging the best in the West African sub region.
The NPFL is known for its competitive nature and has a rich history of producing talented players who have gone on to play for the Nigerian national team and in clubs abroad.
The league has seen clubs like Enyimba International, Kano Pillars, and Rangers International emerge as dominant forces in Nigerian football.
