Man allegedly absconds with rented  equipment worth over ₦3m

A man in Lagos, Nigeria, identified as Emmanuel Martins Joseph, has allegedly absconded with rented equipment worth over ₦3 million.

The suspect had rented a Sony camera, gimbal, and other accessories on March 31, 2025, in GRA, Abijio, Ibeju Lekki, but has since blocked the victim’s WhatsApp number and become unreachable after the rental period elapsed.

According to reports, Joseph is believed to operate between Abuja, Kogi, and the North Central region.

His phone numbers are 09015639505 and 09056781435. A police report has been filed at the Area ‘J’ Police Command, Elemoro, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos.

The victim is offering a reward for any information leading to the recovery of the stolen equipment.

Anyone with information about Emmanuel Martins Joseph’s whereabouts is urged to contact 09038179967 via WhatsApp.

The Lagos State Police Command is investigating the matter, and efforts are being made to track down the suspect and recover the items.
