Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has warned the club’s fans to prepare for tough times ahead, as he remains committed to his tactical approach despite a series of disappointing results.

Diaspora digital media (DDM) gathered that the Portuguese manager emphasized that he would not alter his strategy, even in the face of adversity.

Amorim stated that the priority for Manchester United at this moment is to “survive” and navigate through the current difficult period.

These remarks followed Manchester United 3-1 defeat at home to Brighton at Old Trafford.

The game saw Yankuba Minteh put Brighton ahead in the 5th minute, with Kaoru Mitoma doubling the lead to 2-0 in the 60th minute.

Georginio Rutter’s goal in the 76th minute sealed the victory for Brighton, leaving United with little hope for a comeback.

Bruno Fernandes’ penalty in the 23rd minute remained Manchester United’s only shot on target throughout the match.

“I’m very clear on how I approach the game, and I won’t change my style. The players will suffer, and the fans will suffer too. I’m really sorry, but this is how I do things,” Amorim said during the post-match press conference.

He added that everyone—players, fans, and the board—understands his approach and his plans for the team’s future.

Amorim remained resolute, stating that his methods would not change despite the mounting pressure on him and the team.

“We need to survive this moment. It’s clear for everyone what we’re going to do. I’ve explained everything to the fans, the board, and the players,” he said.

Looking ahead, Manchester United will face Scottish side Rangers in the UEFA Europa League, and Amorim is expected to stick to his preferred tactics, despite the team’s recent struggles.

With the manager’s unwavering commitment, Manchester United fans will need to brace themselves for more challenging matches as the team works to recover from a tough start to the season.
