Miyetti Allah hosting: You’ve endorsed, legitimized Fulani herdsmen killings, violence, terrorism, MASSOB blasts US Ambassador
Condemns meeting of US Ambassador with Fulani herdsmen leadership

The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has lambasted the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Richard M. Mills Jr., over his recent hosting of the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN).
The leader of MASSOB, Comrade Uchenna Madu, made the remarks in a press statement made available to Diaspora Digital Media (DDM).
Speaking, Comrade Madu regretted that the United States Government, through its envoy, has endorsed and legitimized “Fulani terrorist herdsmen”.
Madu noted that the Fulani terrorists engage in mass killings, violent conflicts and land snatching across Nigeria.
He, therefore, condemned the recent meeting held by Ambassador Mills with the leaders of the terrorist herdsmen.
Madu stated: “We express our deep concern regarding the implications of this meeting for Nigeria’s social fabric and the ongoing issues surrounding ethnic tensions in the country.
“The meeting constitutes a troubling endorsement of the Fulani herdsmen, who have been widely involved in mass killings, violent conflicts and land snatching across Nigeria.
“By engaging with these Fulani terrorist leaders, the US have inadvertently legitimized illegal actions that have caused suffering and displacement for numerous communities, particularly in the Middle Belt and beyond.
“The meeting raises significant concerns for the safety and security of the Igbo communities and other ethnic groups who have been victims of Fulani herdsmen’s mass killings and violence,” he added.
“Support for the Fulani agenda”
MASSOB interpreted the meeting of US Ambassador with Miyetti Allah as diplomatic support for the Fulani agenda.
The agenda includes illegal occupation of indigenous citizen’s land, further marginalizing other ethnic groups and escalating existing grievances.
Madu stressed that the meeting has “potential to exacerbate ethnic tensions in a country already rife with division and conflict”.
According to him, such diplomatic engagements send a message that certain groups are favored over others.
It also increases the likelihood of violence and unrest among competing ethnic factions.
He, therefore, called for a re-evaluation of diplomatic strategies that prioritize dialogue with groups implicated in violence against innocent civilians.
He advocated for a balanced approach that fosters peace and unity among all ethnic indigenous communities.
The Miyetti Allah report
It could be recalled that DDM reported on April 28 that Mills played host to Miyetti Allah group.
Mills claimed that the purpose of the visit was to hear about the concerns of herder communities.
According to him, the meeting included discussion of the causes of insecurity and opportunities to peacefully resolve conflict.
The gesture, adjudged by some as insensitive and ill-timed, as Fulani herdsmen unleash mayhem across the country.
Fulani terrorists’ attacks
Recently, the Benue State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) release a troubling report.
SEMA reported that more than 50 communities across five local government areas in the state are displaced.
The were displaced by heavily armed Fulani herdsmen unleashing violent attacks on hapless residents.
These attacks led to the destruction of homes and properties, forcing many residents to flee their ancestral lands.
The displaced individuals are currently taking shelter in 13 official internally displaced persons (IDP) camps across the state.
DDM had also reported that Fulani herdsmen launched attacks on April 24, 2025, on some Benue communities.
The attack left many devastated and destitute, with the exception of Miyetti Allah.
It is with little surprise that many Nigerians condemned the hosting of Fulani terrorists’ leaders by the U.S. Government.
