(DDM) – Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate, Chief Dr George Moghalu (Ohamadike), has publicly expressed heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency Peter Obi, former Anambra Governor and 2023 LP Presidential candidate, for his steadfast support and belief in his leadership vision ahead of the **November 8, 2025 Anambra Governorship Election**.

In a message shared on his verified X handle, Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that Moghalu described Obi as “my friend and brother,” acknowledging that the endorsement of such a respected statesman and reform-driven leader represents a major boost for his campaign.

According to him, “Thank you His Excellency @PeterObi, my friend and brother, for your support. It’s been a lovely run.

The good people of Anambra have seen what you see in me and are convinced beyond reasonable doubt to vote LP in the Anambra Governorship elections November 8th, 2025. Anambra ga adi mma ozo.”

The statement has since generated massive reactions across social media, with the OBIdient Movement celebrating the alliance between two prominent figures known for their integrity, competence, and people-centered governance philosophy.

Political watchers note that Peter Obi’s public show of support for Moghalu could tilt the electoral tide significantly in the Labour Party’s favor, as Obi still commands deep loyalty among voters across Anambra and beyond.

Moghalu’s campaign, anchored on the slogan “Anambra ga adi mma ozo” (Anambra will be good again), focuses on restoring public trust, rebuilding infrastructure, reviving the education and health sectors, and empowering local industries to boost employment and reduce youth migration.

He has repeatedly emphasized that Anambra needs a leader who will prioritize good governance over political showmanship, while building upon Obi’s legacy of fiscal discipline, accountability, and investment in human capital.

Over the past months, Moghalu’s grassroots mobilization strategy has seen him traverse all 21 local government areas of the state, engaging directly with market leaders, youth groups, artisans, and religious institutions in what has been described as one of the most people-oriented campaigns in recent history.

As Election Day draws near, analysts believe that the unity between Peter Obi and George Moghalu represents more than political strategy, it symbolizes a renewed movement to return governance to the people and reclaim Anambra’s position as a model of progressive leadership in the Southeast.

The Labour Party’s growing popularity, especially among youths disenchanted with the status quo, continues to reshape political conversations across the state, with many describing the forthcoming election as a referendum between the old order and a new era of transparent, responsive leadership.

Moghalu concluded his post with a reaffirmation of his commitment to public service, stating that

“A vote for LP is a vote for honesty, competence, and the true recovery of Anambra.

Together, we will make Anambra great again.”
