NANS Zone B condemns “impostor Lucky Emonefe’s threats to Akwa Ibom Governor”
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone B (South-South) has strongly condemned the actions of an impostor, Lucky Emonefe, who has been parading himself as the factional President of NANS. Emonefe recently wrote a letter to the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, making threats and demands.
According to the NANS Zone B Secretariat, “Lucky Emonefe’s actions are a affront to the exalted office of the Governor and a threat to the peaceful coexistence of Akwa Ibom State. We will not stand idly by while an impostor tries to disrupt the good work of Governor Umo Eno.”
The students’ body has warned that any further attempts by Emonefe and his cohorts to disrupt government activities or intimidate the Governor will be met with stiff resistance. “We will resist any attempt to obstruct justice or disrupt government activities with the full weight of the law,” said Comrade Nathaniel Archibong, Secretary General of NANS Zone B.
NANS Zone B has also demanded the immediate arrest and prosecution of Emonefe and his agent, Usen Johnson, for impersonation, conspiracy, and attempt to defraud the Akwa Ibom State government of 13 billion Naira. “We demand that the EFCC should ensure the immediate arrest and prosecution of Lucky Emonefe and his agent for their offense,” said Archibong.
The students’ body has commended Governor Umo Eno for his achievements in office, including the payment of students’ bursaries, institution of an education trust fund, construction of modern primary schools, and grants to support students in agriculture. “We acknowledge the giant strides of Governor Umo Eno in the past year, and we are proud to associate with his achievements,” said Archibong.
NANS Zone B has assured the Governor of their support and solidarity, and has announced plans to stage a solidarity march to honor him. “We are committed to supporting Governor Umo Eno and his administration, and we will not allow any impostor to disrupt the peace and progress of Akwa Ibom State,” said Archibong.
NANS Zone B reiterated its commitment to the development and progress of Akwa Ibom State, and has urged the Governor to remain focused and resolute in his efforts to deliver dividends of democracy to the people. “We are NANS, and we are not for sale. We will always stand for truth, justice, and the progress of our dear state,” said Archibong.
