Di Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions, NASU and di Senior Staff Association of Naijan Universities, SSANU don decide say dem go begin indefinite strike wey go start on Monday.

According to report, dis new strike dey based on di non-payment of dia four months salary wey dem no pay since wen dem join di industrial action wey di Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU carry during di President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Di Joint Action Committee, JAC, of non-teaching staff unions for di universities wey dey coordinate di action don tell dem members make dem start di strike for all di country.

“Latest development for di four (4) months salaries wey dem hold,”

Di circular wey Prince Peters Adeyemi, di General Secretary of NASU and Comrade Mohammed Ibrahim, di SSANU President sign, talk say di change for di timing na to make sure say dem fit coordinate well and make both Unions dey on di same page.

JAC regret say even though President Bola Tinubu don approve make dem pay 50 percent of di four months’ salaries wey dem hold, di alleged inaction of di Minister of Finance don raise question about di government commitment to solve di mata.

As dem dey look dis mata, di leadership of JAC don decide say di effective date for di strike go move to midnight of Sunday, 27th October 2024, to allow di Branch Officers of NASU to dey ground before dem start di strike.
