A retired officer of the Nigerian Army, Colonel BT Vandi was found dead at the Defence Academy base camp located on Vom Road, Jos, the capital of Plateau State.
Colonel BT Vandi was discovered in his room where he had checked in on Wednesday.
An attendant found Colonel Vandi’s body at approximately 3:20pm on July 17, 2024.
He had checked into the camp guest room on July 16 and was found dead the following day.
At the time of filing this report, the body of late Colonel Vandi has been transferred to the 3 Division Military Hospital in Jos for an autopsy and further investigation.
Meanwhile, military authorities are yet to issue a statement in respect to the unfortunate incident.
