Nnamdi Kanu’s freedom is near, says Ejiofor

Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lead counsel to the embattled leader of the proscribed Indigenous People Of Biafra—IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has declared that his client will soon regain his freedom.

Ejiofor, while giving update after his routine visit to the separatist leader, said Kanu in strong terms, condemned the sit-at-home order which is being enforced by few criminal elements in the Southeast region.

Ejiofor further disclosed that Benjamin Madubugwu, an ally of Kanu who was in prison custody with him in 2017 before he was eventually granted bail, also accompanied him to the routine visit at the Department of State Security—DSS facility in Abuja.

He described the visit as productive and fruitful as compelling matters of extreme importance were discussed.

Ejiofor, however assured Kanu supporters that they are heading towards his exit door to freedom.

Ejiofor said, “Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was today the 10th August, 2023, visited by his soulmate and reliable friend, brother and dependable ally, in the person of Mazi Benjamin Madubugwu, at the facility of the State Security Service (SSS) Headquarters Abuja, where Onyendu is still being held in solitary confinement.

“Mazi Benjamin, whose unsuccessful attempts at conducting this special visit, eventually yielded positive result today, was accompanied by my humble self during today’s all important visit.

“Needless to state that this long awaited visit was indeed productive and fruitful in every ramifications as compelling matters of extreme importance was discussed. And during this all important visit, so many misleading narratives were addressed.

“Onyendu could not hold his excitement and joy on seeing Benjamin, as the visit afforded the duo the opportunity of renewing their strong bond and discussing matters of paramount importance.

“It is to be gladly observed, that specific time allotted for this visit was productively utilized.

“During this visit, Onyendu emphatically reiterated while dragging his ears, his strong, unequivocal and unapologetic condemnation and total cancellation of the senseless sit at home in the entire South East, hitherto enforced in the entire south east states by few misguided and uninformed criminal elements, who chose to be deceived by a serial and unrepentant fraudster, operating from the comfort of his one room apartment in Finland.

“May we assure Ezigbo UmuChineke once again that we are moving, and gradually heading towards Onyendu’s exit door to freedom, we are not relenting! And it shall certainly come to pass.”
