A Chinese expatriate at Inner Galaxy Steel Company in Abia State, G.Z Zhen, understood to be a boss at the company, has reportedly pushed a Nigerian lady, Miss Vivian Munachi Ocheze Ogbonna, down from a crane to her death.

The ugly event, it was learnt, took place on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in Umuahala Village, Obuzor Asa, Abia State.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that Miss Ocheze worked on the crane as an operator.

DDM also gathered that she met her untimely death after she rejected sex advances from her attacker.

She died after she fell down from the crane from the loft height right inside the scrapyard.

Meanwhile, a distressing information reaching DDM is that the Chinese may have been smuggled out of the country, back to China.

A whistleblower, 99% OPPRESSED, @PIDOMNIGERIA, raised the alarm on X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday.

The whistleblower tweeted:

“They are protecting the Chinese Boss who killed Miss Ocheze at Inner Galaxy.

“He is currently nowhere to be found.

“I am getting reports that he might have been sneaked secretly out of the country, back to China.”

DDM, meanwhile, learnt that youths of the village laid siege on the company, seeking for justice of Ocheze.

Upon attacking the company by the community youths, soldiers deployed as securities to the facilities shot and nearly killed one Light Chimeko.

The victim of the gunshot, Mr. Chimeko, is lying critically ill at Federal Medical Center (FMC), Umuahia.

In the meantime, the family of the late Ocheze who lost her life are seeking for justice from Inner Galaxy Steel Company.

The Secretary General of Asa Development Union, Mr. Boniface Nwaigwe, has confirmed the development to newsmen.

According to Mr. Nwaigwe, soldiers guarding the company shot one of the youths during the protest.

According to a post on Facebook by Charles Samankwe, the victim is in a critical condition.

In a related development, the Abia State Police Command has confirmed receipt of the complaint.

The spokesperson of the Abia Police Command, Maureen Chinaka, said that investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Ocheze has been launched.

Chinaka assured that Mr. Zhen will be arraigned accordingly at the completion of the investigation.

In response to the death of Ocheze and the near loss of Chimeko, the General Manager of Abia State Oil Producing Development Area Commission (ASOPADEC), Dr. Joshua Onyeike visited Chimeko at the hospital.

Dr. Onyeike expressed shock and dismay over the news of the pushing down of Ocheze, a native of Umuahala Village, Obuzor Asa, from a crane by a Chinese expatriate.

The ASOPADEC General Manager condemned the despicable act of the Chinese expatriate.

He extended his warmest condolences to the deceased family and Umuahala village.

Onyeike prayed to God to give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He also commiserated with the family of late Master Chimaobi Dikeji of Umuwaga Village, Umuelechi Obuzor.

Dikeji was reportedly stabbed to death by his colleague in the same Chinese firm over undisclosed circumstances.

Onyeike enjoined the bereaved family to take solace in the biblical injunction that those who kill by the sword, will die by the sword.
