Ooni: Monarch reunites with enstranged wife and son
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has reunited with his estranged wife, Prophetess Naomi and their son, Prince Tadenikawo.
According to the Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), Oba Adeyeye, Naomi and their son were spotted in an event for the opening of Ojaja Park, a recent project of the monarch, in Akure.
The event was also reported to be graced by Ooni of Ife’s other wives.
In one of the videos captured at the event, Oba Ogunwusi was spotted interacting with Prophetess Naomi, carrying Tadenikawo in his arms.
Given Queen Naomi’s 2021 announcement that she was ending her three-year marriage to Ooni, the reunion is remarkable and significant.
During a recent interview, Naomi made it clear she won’t rejoin the royal household, pointing to her former husband’s marriage to six other women as the reason.
Looking back on her marriage, Naomi recognized a mix of happy and challenging moments, confessing she was initially “naive and vulnerable” when marrying the Ooni.
She revealed her experiences have taught her that life is more complex than she initially thought.
In October, the Ooni spoke publicly about his personal struggles after the marriage ended, revealing how he faced ridicule and mockery from the public for not having a queen, leading him to seek divine guidance.
Ooni revealed that God’s guidance urged him to persevere, ultimately leading him to a new phase of life where he has welcomed six additional wives into the palace.
After parting ways with Naomi, the Ooni welcome six additional wives including Olori Mariam, Olori Elizabeth Akinmuda, Olori Tobi Phillips, Olori Ashley, Olori Ronke, and Olori Temitope.
The monarch welcomed these queens within a three-month period.
“The recent reunion between Ooni and his ex-queen in Akure has sparked a lot of controversies, revealing the ongoing complexities of the monarch’s personal life,” Gistreel reported
