The Delta State Police Command has arrested a woman identified as Rita Ughale for allegedly selling her two-month-old baby for ₦1.5 million in the state.
According to the police, the incident occurred in Kokori Community I, located in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Edafe Bright, said the suspect initially reported at the Ekpan Police Division that her baby had been snatched during a robbery while she was travelling in a tricycle.
