Portable arraigned for ‘assaulting’ Ogun State Govt officials

The police in Ogun state have arraigned singer Habeeb Okikiola Olalomi aka Portable in the Isabo high court in Abeokuta, Ogun, for allegedly assaulting some officials of the Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA).

The singer who was declared wanted by the police command on Monday, February 18, turned himself in to the police in Lagos on Wednesday, February 19, and was then taken to Ogun state where he was handed over to the command.

This morning, he was presented in court to face charges bordering on assault.

His unending controversies 

The singer has been involved in several controversies throughout his career.

From public feuds with other artists to run-ins with the law, Portable has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

He has been accused of assaulting several individuals, including police officers and government officials.

In 2022, he was arrested and charged to court for allegedly assaulting a police officer in Ogun State.

More recently, he was declared wanted by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly assaulting three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.

Portable has been involved in public feuds with other Nigerian artists, including Omah Lay and Poco Lee.

He has also been involved in several social media controversies, including a public feud with his former manager and a viral video where he was seen arguing with a fan.

Portable has been accused of promoting violence and cultism in his music and public appearances.

Some have claimed that he has made references to cultism in his music, while others have accused him of glorifying violence and thuggery.
