President Buhari Presides Over FEC Meeting

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday presided over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting. The meeting was attended by all the ministers. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was at the weekly meeting which opened at the Presidential Villa.

Others at the meeting are Secretary to Government of the Federation, Mr. Babachir David Lawal and Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Mr Abubakar Malami.

The Chief of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari; Head of Civil Service, Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita; and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Maj. – Gen. Babagana Mongonu. The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Mohammed Bello; Minister of State, Environment, Alhaji Ibrahim Usman Jibril; Minister of Environment, Hajiya Amina Mohammed; Minister of State Education, Prof Anthony Onwuka; and Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu. Others are Minister of Defence, Brig.- Gen. Mansur Dan-Ali; Minister of Communications,

others includes, Mr Adebayo Shittu; Minister of State Budget, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed; and Minister of Budget, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma. Finance minister Kemi Adeosun and Works and Housing minister Babatune Fashola were at the meeting which was also attended by Minister of State Foreign Affairs, Hajiya Khadija; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Geoffrey Onyeama; Minister of Environment, Hajiya Amina Mohammed. FEC meeting is held once every week to review the business of government and governance. Far reaching decisions on the day-to-day running of the government are usually taken at the meeting.
