Senator George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) has met with ministers to deliberate over the proposed nationwide protest against economic hardship in the country.
Among the ministers present at the meeting are Nyesom Wike (FCT), Yusuf Tuggar (Foreign Affairs), Zephaniah Jisalo (Special Duties), Tahir Mamman (Education), and Abubakar Bagudu (Budget and Planning). Also in attendance are Wale Edun (Finance), Mohammed Idris (Information), Bello Matawalle (Defence), David Umahi (Works), and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu.
Though, this is coming after president Bola Tinubu had appealed to Nigerians to shelve the planned ‘EndBadGovernance’ protest, slated for August across all states of the Federation and Abuja.
