Senator Ben Bruce of Nigeria has raised a distress call over the disappearance of Janet Kwalmi Ere, a 67-year-old woman who arrived in Lagos from London on May 30, 2024.

Ere was last seen boarding an airport taxi at Murtala Muhammad Airport at 6 a.m. and has since gone missing.

Senator Bruce, known for his advocacy for citizen’s rights and welfare, is urging the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, to take immediate action to ensure Ere’s safe return. He has called for a thorough review of the airport’s CCTV footage to identify the taxi Ere used and locate the driver.

The Senator’s swift action and reward offer demonstrate his commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens, particularly vulnerable individuals like Ere. He has assured that the reward of N1 million will be paid instantly by the Silverbird Group to anyone who provides information leading to the identification of the driver and the safe return of Ere.

Ere was last seen wearing a distinctive outfit, which has been released to the public in the hopes that someone may have seen her. The outfit consists of a white shirt with blue stripes, a black jacket, and a pair of black trousers.

Senator Bruce’s call to action has sparked a sense of urgency among the authorities, and an investigation is currently underway. The Senator’s office has also set up dedicated lines for anyone with information to come forward.

“If anyone has any useful information, please contact Julie at 08037870683 or Precious at 07080214687,” Senator Bruce urged. “We need to work together to ensure the safe return of Janet Kwalmi Ere.”
