Soldiers’ killing: Tinubu Vows to Crush Violent Extremists

Published

on

President Bola Tinubu has promised to take decisive action against those attacking and killing security operatives, following the recent killing of five soldiers in Aba, Abia State.

Tinubu directed security agencies to apprehend not only the masterminds and perpetrators of the attack but also those calling for sit-at-home orders, which he deemed a treasonable offense.

The President emphasized that the government and armed forces have the capacity to crush violent non-state actors and will not hesitate to act appropriately when the lives of security officers and men are taken.

He extended his condolences to the families of the slain soldiers and urged other peacekeeping personnel to remain steadfast in their duties.

Tinubu also acknowledged the sacrifices made by soldiers and policemen, stating that they deserve better treatment and protection from the people they serve.

The Federal Government, according to Tinubu, will come down heavily on those who attack its agents, emphasizing that no one should have the audacity to kill agents of government.
