Nigerian Super Eagles resumed training at 2 PM Nigerian time on Monday, in Abidjan, ahead of the crucial match against Ivory Coast, the host nation in the ongoing African Cup of Nation, AFCON.

Speaking to DDM, one of the coaches who pleaded to be quoted off record said that the team has put the 1-1 outcome of its opening match against Equatorial Guinea behind them and are all set for the evening work out.

“We have done a lot of pep talk with the boys and they are all set for the work ahead.

“Fortunately we have an experienced Ahmed Musa who was part of the team that defeated Cote D’Ivoire over a decade ago in South Africa in the same competition,” said the coach.

The encounter is slated for the Alassanne Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan.

There will be no media and fans access to the session.
