On April 1st, Ibom Air, a flagship investment of the Akwa Ibom State Government, took to social media to announce a jaw-dropping deal: free flights for everyone, on all routes, with the same service excellence.

While some fans were initially fooled by the announcement, many quickly realized it was an April Fools’ Day prank.

The prank is a great example of how brands can use humor and creativity to engage with their audience.

By embracing the spirit of April Fools’ Day, the airline showed its human side and brought some much-needed levity to social media.
