Tinubu appoints new special adviser, senior special assistant in VP’s office

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Temitola Adekunle-Johnson as Special Adviser to the President on Job Creation and MSME, and Uju Anwuka as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Health.

Both officials according to a statement from the presidency, will serve in the office of the Vice President.

The appointments, the statement added, is in line with the administration’s commitment to advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in job creation and public health.

Before their new roles, Adekunle-Johnson and Anwuka held similar positions in the Vice President’s office, with Adekunle-Johnson serving as Senior Special Assistant and Anwuka as Special Assistant.

Adekunle-Johnson has been instrumental in shaping policies aimed at boosting employment and supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Nigeria.

His leadership has driven key initiatives such as the Expanded National MSME Clinics and the Shared Facility Initiative, designed to enhance the operational capacity of small businesses.

Also, Anwuka has played a pivotal role in addressing malnutrition and food insecurity, particularly in vulnerable communities.

She spearheaded the Nutrition 774 Initiative, a programme focused on improving nutritional standards nationwide.

However, both appointments take immediate effect as the Tinubu administration continues to reinforce its policy agenda through experienced and dedicated personnel.
