“Love is not just a feeling; it’s a decision to stay, to give, and to grow together, even on days when it’s hard. It’s the strength found in each other’s arms, the warmth in each other’s laughter, and the peace in each other’s presence. Please family and friends join us on 23rd November at Umusam, Kwale Delta state.”

Worsening insecurity in Delta

Insecurity in Delta State is a pressing concern that has been ongoing for several years.

According to reports, communal conflicts have been one of the main indicators of insecurity in the state. These conflicts often stem from disputes over resources, land, and other issues.

But there has been spate of politically motivated killings, targeted killings of business entrepreneurs, and other forms of killings in recent times.

The state government has acknowledged the need to address insecurity and has pledged to take measures to sustain peace and security.

This includes supporting security agencies, community vigilante networks, and traditional institutions to maintain law and order.

However, despite these efforts, insecurity persists, and there have been reports of alleged abuses by public security forces, which have sometimes led to mob violence and protests.
