Olaonipekun Temitope has shared her harrowing experience of being trafficked to Libya by a trusted friend of her mother.

In an exclusive interview with Nollywood actress and producer Biola Adebayo, she described the horrifying ordeal she endured before escaping.

According to Diaspora digital media (DDM) reports, she revealed that after arriving in Libya, she was forced into sex trafficking by her captors, who exploited her for money.

Temitope disclosed that she had to sleep with multiple men daily, sometimes as many as 15, under extreme coercion.

Even on days with fewer customers, she was still forced to sleep with at least 10 men against her will.

Recalling her traumatic experience, she said, “If I could flash back, we used to sleep with 10 to 15 men daily.”

She endured this abuse for three weeks before she found an opportunity to escape from her traffickers.

Temitope stated that she fasted for three days, praying for strength and a chance to break free from captivity.

She strongly believes her parents’ prayers, especially her mother’s tears, gave her the courage to take action.

On the day of her escape, she risked everything by jumping over a fence and running for her life.

She ran straight to the Nigerian embassy in Libya, desperately seeking refuge and protection from her captors.

The embassy officials responded swiftly, providing her with the assistance she needed to return safely to Nigeria.

Her story sheds light on the brutal reality of sex trafficking and the immense suffering many victims endure.

By sharing her experience, she hopes to raise awareness and prevent others from falling into similar traps.

Her ordeal underscores the urgent need for stronger measures to combat human trafficking and protect vulnerable individuals.

Authorities and organizations must work together to dismantle trafficking networks and offer support to survivors like Temitope.

Communities should remain vigilant, educating young people about the dangers of traffickers who often disguise themselves as trustworthy figures.

Survivors’ stories serve as powerful reminders of the resilience of the human spirit and the need for justice.
