Public commentator Tunde Perry has raised concerns over the treatment of activist Omoyele Sowore, alleging that he is being subjected to intense monitoring by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).
Speaking on the situation, Perry claimed that Sowore is under constant surveillance, with little to no privacy.
“With what I’m seeing, Sowore is in serious trouble. The way the DSS are mounting pressure on him, even when he wants to use the toilet they are with him, no breathing space for him. He’s in a very tight setting—he can’t talk to anybody at all,” he said.
The remarks have added to ongoing discussions surrounding Sowore’s case, which continues to draw attention from supporters, critics, and human rights observers.
As of the time of this report, there has been no official response from the DSS addressing the allegations.
Observers note that the situation highlights broader concerns about detainee rights, due process, and the balance between national security and individual freedoms.
