Two Serving S’East Governors set to join ADC says South East Chair

The South East caucus of the African Democratic Congress has disclosed its preparedness to welcome two servng Governors from the zone into its fold.

This was contained in a statement on 29th July 2025 by its National Vice Chairman South East, Chilos Godsent.

He said consultation is in top gear and preparation on the way to welcome them adding that very soon the governors will publicly declare for ADC.

Hon. Chilos also stated that some members of federal house of representatives will join too alleging bad governance as their reason.

The statement read: “The South East Zonal Executive Committee (ZWC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially announced it’s preparation to receive two serving Governors from the zone into it’s Fold.

“The source said that consultation is in high gear and that very soon the Governors will publicly announce their intentions to officially join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

“The National Vice Chairman South East, Chilos Godsent informed our Media Crew that the move is Part of the resolve by ADC South East Zone to deliver South East to ADC in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

“The National Vice Chairman South East, Chilos Godsent confirmed this during a Media Chat over the weekend in Owerri.

He further disclosed that some members of the Federal House of Representatives and State House of Assembly members will also announce their intentions to officially join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the coming months.

A Member of the Federal House of Representatives who spoke in anonymity said they have decided to join ADC in other to join forces with progressives to eject the Ahmed Bola Tinubu led government of poverty and hardship in 2027.
