Umontuen receives prestigious Who’s Who African Award

Dr. Godwin Umontuen, a distinguished educationist and entrepreneur, has been honored with the prestigious Who’s Who African Award as Entrepreneur of the Year.

The award, presented by Time Africa Management Magazine on November 13, 2024, recognizes Dr. Umontuen’s outstanding contributions to education and entrepreneurship in Nigeria.

The award, according to its donor, is a testament to Dr. Umontuen’s unwavering commitment to advancing education in Nigeria, particularly through the establishment of Maurid Polytechnic in Mbiaso, Akwa Ibom State, the College of Nursing Sciences and Midwifery in Obohia Ndoki, Abia State, and the College of Nursing Sciences in Mbiaso, Akwa Ibom State.

According to Chief Ugochukwu Nduwuisi, former Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo (Spanish Chapter), “Dr. Umontuen’s dedication to education and healthcare is inspiring, and his institutions have created numerous business opportunities for the people of Obohia Ndoki Community. He is a true son of Nigeria, driving development and progress in our country.”

Dr. Umontuen’s achievements have earned him widespread recognition and admiration from the citizens of Obohia Ndoki Community, the diaspora, and the education sector. His commitment to reducing unemployment among youth and advancing education in Nigeria has made him a role model for entrepreneurs and educationists.
