US, Iran Mediators Make Last‑Minutes Push for 45‑Day Ceasefire as Deadline Looms

The United States, Iran, and a group of regional mediators are working against the clock to hammer out the terms of a 45-day ceasefire, sources familiar with the talk.

DDM gathered that the temporary pause could pave the way for a permanent end to the ongoing conflict.

Officials, however, warn that the odds of reaching even a partial deal in the next 48 hours are slim. Still, this final push may be the only chance to avoid a major escalation, which could involve devastating strikes on Iranian civilian infrastructure and retaliatory attacks on energy and water facilities across Gulf states.
