Members of the Iru Esin vigilante group, reportedly linked to Yoruba nation activist Sunday Igboho, have arrested suspected bandits and kidnappers during an operation in Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to reports from the group, the suspects were tracked to a hideout in a bush area within the city, following intelligence gathered on their activities.
The operation reportedly turned tense when the suspects opened fire on the vigilantes upon being approached. However, the group claimed they were able to overpower the armed individuals after a brief confrontation.
