A man in Pakistan has been accused of murdering a WhatsApp group administrator after being removed from the chat.

According to Diaspora digital media (DDM) the tragic incident occurred on Thursday evening in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, near the Afghanistan border.

Pakistani police confirmed on Saturday that the suspect, identified as Ashfaq, now faces murder charges for allegedly killing Mushtaq Ahmed.

Authorities reported that Ahmed removed Ashfaq from a WhatsApp group following an argument, leading to a violent confrontation.

According to Ahmed’s brother, both men agreed to meet for reconciliation after the removal from the WhatsApp group.

However, Ashfaq allegedly arrived at the meeting armed and opened fire, fatally shooting Ahmed before fleeing the scene.

Police launched an investigation and confirmed that Ashfaq was angered by his removal from the WhatsApp group.
