A British boxer with Nigerian decent, Lawrence Okolie, has emerged the world Cruiserweight Champion in boxing after stopping his opponent, Glowacki, with a sixth round knockout.

The best part of the news is the story behind the rise of this 28 year old.

He was overweight which means that he was a butt of jokes to bullies and he was quickly loosing his self worth before he hit the gym just to build his confidence.

At the gyms, he was discovered as a great talent in boxing, and he quickly made it to the world stage.

Elizabeth, his mum, gave him all the support he needed to be a great boxer and to make the best out of his life.

Her dreams for him was for him to become a professor, but, Lawrence opted to be a pugilist.

When he was starting out, he kept it away from his Mum, but when it became good and gainful, he let her know and her support has been unwavering.

Today, he is the Cruiserweight Boxing Champion of the World!
