Heavy snowfall in Pakistan claimed at least 35 lives

An unexpected snowfall and freezing rain have, over the weekend, killed dozens of residents in a remote village of Pakistan.

According to a BBC news report, at least 35 people lost their lives, with other several dozens were injured.

According to the report, which cited management authorities, the disaster was caused by landslides that buried homes.

Consequently, twenty-two children, amongst other victims, were confirmed dead.

The extreme weather left the Pakistani northern and western regions devastated, clogging roads and damaging hundreds of houses.

Pakistani authorities said that the incident is shocking as the month of March is generally humid.
