Facebook, Instagram users experience outage in Nigeria

On Tuesday evening, Nigerians lamented outages on Facebook and Instagram, saying they could not access the platforms.

Meta Platforms – Facebook and Instagram – were down for millions of users on Tuesday, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.com.

Nigerians lamented outages for Facebook and Instagram, saying they could not access the platforms.

Users said they were logged out of the social media platforms.

On Facebook, users were logged out of the platform with a message reading, “The password that you’ve entered is incorrect”.

Users got a message saying, “Something went wrong,” on Instagram.

“There’s an issue and the page could not be loaded.”

Meanwhile, social media users on X have been complaining about the development.

Some users of the two social platforms have been checking whether the X platform (formerly Twitter) is down equally.
