Don’t quit boxing -Joshua advises Ngannou after knockout
Anthony Joshua brutally knocked out Francis Ngannou cold in the second round of their huge heavyweight bout in Saudi Arabia.
Joshua dominated the fight from the start knocking the Cameroonian down twice in the opening rounds before finishing him off in stunning fashion in just the second round.
AJ now eyes the WBC heavyweight belt held by Tyson Fury whose matchup with Ukraine’s Alexander Usyk is imminent.
Paramedics stormed ring to give medical attention to Ngannou who was gasping for breath after Joshua’s nasty right hand floored him.
Ngannou was floored severally
After the fight, a video of Joshua telling Ngannou that he is an inspiration, and advising him not to leave boxing was shared on X (formerly Twitter).
Joshua said, “You are an inspiration, don’t leave boxing again.”
Ngannou replied, “No, I will not.”
Joshua continued, “Don’t leave boxing do it, don’t leave boxing.”
Joshua took the mic and delivered another heartfelt word in the ring.
He said, “I just gonna do my best every time and go home. Nothing changes for me.”
The bout was just Nagnnou’s second fight in boxing after October’s controversial loss to WBC Champion, Tyson Fury.
