Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has signed into law the State VAT Bill as passed by the House of Assembly.
This was confirmed by the head of Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, in a statement on Friday.
The State House of Assembly had, on Thursday, passed the state’s Value Added Tax (VAT) bill alongside the bill prohibiting open cattle grazing in the state.
The House of Assembly yesterday sent a copy of the bill for Governor Sanwo-Olu’s assent after passing the bill.
The Governor signed the “bill for a law to impose and charge VAT on certain goods and services” after returning from an official trip to Abuja .
