Three robbery suspects with handmade gun land in police net in Nigerian city

Police in Ilorin, north central capital city of Kwara, Nigeria, nabbed three robbery suspects in the heart of the city, they said in a press statement.
Explaining how the police contained the suspects while in the act of robbing a victim of phones and other valuable, Ejire Toun-Adeyemi, deputy superintendent of police, DSP, said that the police crack squad responded to distress call along Oko-Erin area of Ilorin.
“The distress call was about an armed robbery going on,” she told newsmen late Tuesday.
Three suspects were arrested.
The police gave their names as John Ndubusi Nbakogu, Toheeb Suleiman, and Bolakale Quadir.
“They were involved in robbing a citizen of his Infinix Note 11 handset and were found with a Cut to Size Single Barrel gun believed to have been used in the crime.
“The suspects will face prosecution, and the police urge the public to cooperate in preventing and detecting crimes.
She added that the Kwara State Commissioner of Police reassures the public of their commitment to ensuring safety and security in the state.
