CAF president begins two day tour of Angola, ends Saturday

President of the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF), Dr. Patrice Motsepe, on Friday began a two-day working visit to Angola that will end on Friday and Saturday, 12-13 April 2024.

The visit to Luanda, Angola will mark the conclusion of the CAF President’s tour of five countries this week, commencing in Kigali, Rwanda on Sunday, 07 April 2024.

Upon his arrival in the nation’s capital on Friday morning, Dr. Motsepe was warmly welcomed by the Angolan Football Federation and COSAFA President, Artur de Almeida e Silva.

The schedule for Friday includes a meeting with the Minister of Sports, Mr. Rui Falcao at 11:45, followed by engagements with various football stakeholders in Angola throughout the afternoon.

On Saturday, 13 April 2024, the CAF President is scheduled to meet with Angola’s Head of State, President João Lourenço in the morning. At 12:00 local time on Saturday, Dr. Motsepe will host a Press Conference at Epic Sana Luanda.

Prior to his visit to Angola, Dr. Motsepe will attend the opening of the TotalEnergies Futsal Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco and was previously in Guinea-Bissau.

This series of visits underscores the commitment of the CAF President to engage with and support football development across the African continent.
