The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has rebuked the Governor of Bauchi State, Governor Bala Muhammed, over his “laughable, disgraceful and unguarded statements” that IPOB cannot achieve Biafra, admonishing him to ‘stop advertising his ignorance as land is not the problem’ of the Biafra seekers.
The Media and Publicity Secretary for IPOB, Comrade Emma Powerful made the remarks in a press release he made available to News Band on Sunday
Emma Powerful noted that Governor Muhammed is a “self-deluded Fulani irredentist” who advertised his ignorance by mentioning IPOB in his political ranting.
He said that the governor should be more concerned with the atrocities perpetrated by Fulani bandits instead of being in a hurry to fault peaceful agitation by IPOB and other pro-Biafra groups.
His words: “IPOB has no time to join issues with a Fulani governor by default who sees nothing wrong in the atrocities by Fulani bandits but is always in a hurry to fault mere peaceful agitation by nonviolent IPOB and other pro-Biafra groups.
“Bala Mohammed the defender of terrorists should stop commenting on IPOB matters because he has limited and biased knowledge about us.”
On the issue surrounding the low land mass occupied by the South East region mentioned by the Bauchi governor, the IPOB scribe noted that there are so many countries in the world occupying lesser land mass than Biafra, yet thrive in several ramifications.
He stated further: “Contrary to this thinking, IPOB is not begging for land.
“Land does not signify freedom; we are fighting for our self-determination which will show the world that we are a special people.
“Our land is enough for us to operate as a nation. We don’t need borrowed lands.
“There are so many countries in the world occupying less land mass than we do.
“Gov Bala Muhammed of Bauchi should respect himself and must know that IPOB will achieve Biafra freedom in his time and he will be shocked.
“IPOB is a God-ordained movement designed to champion the cause of Biafra and liberate its citizens from the Nigeria bondage,” he concluded.
