Tenant bites off neighbour’s ear over electricity bill

A 39 year old woman identified as OpeOluwa Agoro, has allegedly bitten off the right ear of her neighbour, Oloruntofunmi Folorunso, in Ogun State.

The incident occured on Oremeta street in the Igode area of the state on Sunday during a face-off on electricity bill payment.

The electricity distribution company servicing the area according to PUNCH disconnected the house where the duo live over a pending issue.

Residents consequently appointed Folorunso to collect N500 from each tenant in the house for reconnection.

An eyewitness who doesn’t want to be mentioned said, Folorunso was able to collect the levy from other tenants except Agoro.

When Folorunso approached Agoro over the payment, she reportedly hurled insults at him and there was an argument that immediately escalated into fight.

In the process, Agoro dragged Folorunso closer and bit off his right ear.

The victim was said to have been rushed to the hospital for medical care, while Agoro was arrested by policemen attached to the Igode Division led by their Divisional Police Officer, SP Aremu Felicia.

The spokesman of the command, Odutola Omolola confirmed the incident, adding that an investigation was ongoing.
