The executive governor of Rivers State, Mr Siminalayi Fubara, has opened up following plot by lawmakers loyal to the former governor of the State, Barrister Nyesom Wike to impeach him.

While addressing his supporters on Monday morning, Fubara said he has not committed any offence that should warrant his impeachment by the Rivers State House of Assembly.

“Let them come out and tell Rivers people the offence I have committed to warrant any impeachment,” the governor said while addressing his supporters at the Assembly Complex.

Some State lawmakers headed by their Speaker, Martin Amaewhule, served an impeachment notice on Fubara before they scampered for safety as tear gas was fired outside the Complex.
