Police Anti-Cult Unit Terrorises, Maims Enugu State Residents

Elombah.com has been reliably informed that a deadly police unit known as anti-cult force is brutally on the rampage in Enugu State.

The disclosure was made to Elombah.com by the publisher of Due Process Advocates (DPA), a social media forum, Barrister ‎Emeka Ugwuonye.

According to Barrister ‎ Ugwuonye, the deadly police unit, whose office is located in Gorsham Estate in New Artisan, Enugu, is becoming a menace.

In his words, “the policemen in this unit are arresting people indiscriminately. Landlords are using them against tenants.

“They are arresting men and women and taking them to their units and maiming them.

“They will first break the legs of anyone arrested.

“There is indication that one of the people they arrested has been killed.”

Speaking further, Mr. Ugwuonye called on Nigerians to call the attention of the IG of Police and the Commissioner of Police in Enugu State.

He also beckoned on the Deputy IG of Police in charge of Enugu State to turn attention to the growing menace. 

He said: “We must stop the extrajudicial killing of the innocent. DPA must lead Nigerians to end police brutality.

“We are preparing the nation for a massive online protest starting today. We must end police brutality in Nigeria. 

“We call on immediate release of all those arrested unless the police is ready to charge them to court,” he added.

He, therefore, called for information on the name and phone numbers of the following personnels to help further the course:

(1) The Police Commander of the Anti-Cult Unit in Enugu State. 

(2) The Police Commissioner of Enugu State 

(3) The DIG in Charge of the Unit. 

(4) The Police PRO for Enugu State.
