Details of how crossdresser, Mr Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky was arrested at Seme border on Sunday night during passport checks, while attempting to flee to Benin Republic have emerged.

An Immigration source at the Nigerian-Benin Republic border, who doesn’t want to be quoted, gave the details.

Quoting an Immigration source, PremiumTimes reports that Bobrisky was taken into custody at midnight and detained until Monday morning, and has been transferred to the Lagos zone of the NIS in Ikeja.

The source said, “He was arrested at midnight and detained until this morning, and he’s currently being moved to the Lagos zone of the NIS in Ikeja.

“He gave his passport to someone to stamp it for him, so, the officer saw the name immediately among others and requested that he should come down from the vehicle”.

Before now, the arrest of Bobrisky was first disclosed by social media activist, Verydarkman, who claimed he was taken into custody by Nigerian immigration officers while trying to elope the ongoing investigation by the House of Representatives.

The crossdresser has been in the eye of the storm after she accused the officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of collecting bribe during his trial.

Meanwhile, it is worth noting that Bobrisky refused to appear after being invited to a panel at the House of Representatives to answer to viral leaked audios where he admitted to bribing his way out of prison with the help of his God-father, including having his money laundering case dropped by the anti-graft agency.
