On Tuesday, January 14, 2024, the NYSC Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, addressed misleading information.
She stated that some mischief makers were circulating false messages about Call-Up-Numbers for Prospective Corps Members.
Embu clarified that the misleading messages advised Prospective Corps Members to visit State Secretariats for Call-Up-Numbers. She emphasized that these messages did not originate from the NYSC and are untrue.
She further explained that all communication occurs between Prospective Corps Members and the NYSC via individual dashboards only.
Additionally, approved social media platforms serve as channels for updates and important information for Prospective Corps Members.
Embu urged the public to disregard the false messages.
“The attention of the Management of the National Youth Service Corps has been drawn to misleading information being circulated by some mischief-makers, claiming that Prospective Corps Members yet to be issued Call-Up Numbers should proceed to the State Secretariats of the Scheme for this purpose,” the statement read.
“For the avoidance of doubt, all Prospective Corps Members who are yet to receive their Call-Up Numbers are enjoined to exercise patience.
They should keep checking their dashboards and also visit the NYSC Social Media Platforms, including Facebook, X, Instagram, and Threads for updates.”
For clarity, Embu advised Prospective Corps Members who have not received their Call-Up-Numbers to be patient. She encouraged them to keep checking their dashboards and visit NYSC social media platforms for updates.
